CAFDA provides the following services to those who have a drug/alcohol abuse problem or are affected by someone who have a drug/alcohol problem, viz:
CAFDA's social workers will provide the initial assessment and counseling to person abusing drugs/alcohol
CAFDA's social workers will provide the initial counseling to families affected by those abusing alcohol/drugs
CAFDA's social workers will refer those abusers who request assistance and are willing to go for treatment on their own volition, and can afford to pay for their treatment to the necessary rehabilitation centre.
For those abusers who cannot afford to pay for treatment at a rehabilitation centre, CAFDA's social workers will make an application through the local magistrates court for them to be sent via the court for treatment to a rehabilitation centre decided by the court.
CAFDA's social workers can also assist those families who feel that the person abusing drugs/alcohol is a danger to him or herself with a referral to the local magistrate for admission to a psychiatric hospital.
CAFDA also provides information on drugs/alcohol and its effects to the youth and broader public through awareness campaigns and life-skills courses offered regularly.
