Achievements

Thirty-five youth successfully completed the Cane Weaving Course.

Products

Trainees made different types of baskets for retail purposes.  The baskets were sold to Small Business owners, who specialise in the decoration and sale of gift baskets, e.g. flower, fruit and sweet baskets.

Recruitment of Trainees

Candidates for the course are recruited via word of mouth advertising, display posters and referrals from social workers.

Marketing

We directed our marketing campaigns at special occasions such as Christmas, Easter, Mothers’ Day and Eid celebrations. The baskets sold very well during those periods.
