The Foster Care Management Unit of Cafda focuses on the supervision of foster
child placements, reconstruction and family reunification.
This Unit’s main focus is to educate parents to accept responsibility
for their children. This is to ensure that foster placements do not become
permanent, but rather to preserve family life.
In February 2003, Cafda’s old Foster Parents Club was transformed into
the Foster Parents Association with an Executive Committee representing all
CAFDA’s areas of operation.
The main task of the Foster Parent Association, as the umbrella organisation,
is fundraising for year round excursions for all CAFDA’s foster children
to institutions of learning.
